Hello Classmates,
After speaking to many classmates about the state of our leadership and the confusion and division we are currently experiencing, I found it necessary to have a meeting such as this.
Our Class of '87 is approaching a very important milestone—40 years since graduation—and many of us are looking forward to an amazing celebration. However, we are experiencing uncertainty regarding the future leadership and planning of our class events. Rather than allowing assumptions or misunderstandings to continue, this meeting has been organized to provide an open and respectful forum where classmates can hear directly from both the current Class Coordinator/Event planner, and those that have currently assumed leadership, ask questions, and participate in the decision-making process. Every classmate deserves the opportunity to be informed, be heard, and have a voice in the future of our class leadership.
This meeting is about transparency, communication, and allowing every classmate to participate in an important decision that affects us all.
You are invited to attend a Virtual Town Hall Meeting where we will openly discuss the future direction of our class event planning.
Date: Thursday, August 13, 2026
Time: 7:00 PM CST
Platform: Zoom
During this meeting, classmates will hear a presentation from both the Class Coordinator, Tanya Hill and the current self-appointed Class Committee to help us understand why and how:

Following the presentation, classmates will have an opportunity to ask questions during a moderated Q&A session.
At the conclusion of the meeting, classmates will cast an anonymous vote regarding who they would like to lead and coordinate future Class of '87 events.
